Let's beat cancer sooner

The BT Convention Centre in Liverpool

It’s that time of year again, when thousands of cancer researchers and clinicians descend on the BT Convention Centre in Liverpool for the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) conference – the UK’s largest annual cancer conference.

Just as in previous years, we’ll be posting daily summaries of all the important sessions, covering everything from the basic biology of cancer to latest trial results. There are some fascinating sessions on the programme, some of which are sure to get coverage in the media – and we’ll also be posting daily round-ups of this too.

In fact, stories from the conference have already hit the headlines. Yesterday, the media covered our story about a rise in cervical cancer cases extensively (you can read the press release here) .

It’s also worth mentioning that, as well as this blog, you can also follow the @CR_UK and @NCRI twitter feeds, where we’ll be tweeting and retweeting relevant information and updates from the conference.

More tomorrow.
