Let's beat cancer sooner

We’ve just come across this stunning animation of some of the most important ideas in biology. Watch the video below to see how the DNA in our cells is copied; how genes are ‘transcribed’ into RNA so they can be ‘translated’ to make the proteins that make up our blood, muscles, and other body parts.

The video was made by staff at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research in Australia.

Scientists have been working for years to slowly unravel and understand these processes – and this helps them properly understand how they go wrong in diseases.
