Far too often overworked GP's do not have the basic time to question women on their various symptoms that are usually nothing to worry about. As women, we all will experience not one, but several uncomfortable and bothersome symptoms as we reach menopause However, some of the population do not believe in 'bothering' the doctor with such symptoms, and I for one, feel that I am bothering the doctor with minor ailments, but are they minor? All too often the first thing that comes out of a GP's mouth is IBS! This is bloating, bowel changes etc, all could be symptoms of Ovarian Cancer, or any other cancer. I look forward to the day that as your research suggest there might be some sort of screening on the horizon for this horrible disease. Keep up the good work.
